Wednesday Mensday

Edinburgh, Scotland. So because we were bad bloggers and missed Mensday last week (apologies, I am not sure how that happened. I was probably distracted by all the sweaty, awesome talent that was the Olympics!) So to make up for our bad selves, we bring you a triple bill this week. Oh YES!

If you have never watched these three in action, WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN? The True Blood series is about vampires and humans living alongside each other (essentially, they've "come out of the coffin" so to speak). It's also a clothing optional series, but that is not why you should watch it. Well, that is not the ONLY reason! If you can get past lead female character, Sookie's, annoying-ness (not sure that this is an actual "-ness", but do not know how else to describe Anna Paquin's acting**. Plus Sookie is an annoying name. I judge), three big, sexy reasons to watch are: Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Kwanten and Stephen Moyer.

Alexander Skarsgard is Swedish (Jemily and I have a theory about beautiful Swedish people - so blonde and athletic, so perfect, eyes always slightly reddish - but will save that for another post, another day). Before True Blood, he was in Zoolander (not sure how I missed this), and he also dated Kate Bosworth for two years. Yes, dated, past tense. Yes, she who also let Orlando Bloom go. What is wrong with this girl?! He was also in Lady Gaga's Paparazzi music video. True story.

Stephen Moyer is an English film and television actor and director who plays Sookie's love interest in the series. Funnily enough, he is also Anna Paquin's real-life lover and they are expecting twins. Clearly he managed to get past her annoying acting.

Ryan Kwanten is an Australian actor. He started out on Home and Away for 5 years - yes, another one.
In my opinion, he is nothing special (even in True Blood he is just a regular human, who is not very smart *snore*). SO if you don't like what you see, please feel free to substitute him with this up-and-comer [pictured below]. Joe Manganiello starred with Channing Tatum in Magic Mike, and plays a werewolf in True Blood.

**I know what you are thinking "but she won a golden statue that is kind of a big deal in the acting world". While she may have won an Oscar once-upon-a-time, she was like 10 when this happened. I don't feel that her acting has improved with age. Or maybe it is just the way her character is written. Who cares, this was a post about hot men!
